One of my photography dreams came true on the weekend of 28 April 2012.  I was asked to cover the wedding of Laurent and Christine, and they wanted to get married at Paindane Bay in the Inhambane District of Mozambique.  I always wanted to do a Beach Wedding and to combine it with a trip to Mozambique was the ultimate for me.

MegaPix Productions as a team set off to Mozambique on Thursday 26 April and we decided to make a little video documentary of our trip and also have some fun on the way.

We stayed at Paindane Bay at the private place of Laurent’s uncle, and on evening 1 we went to the Pleasure Bay Resort Restaurant where we met lovely people.  Crayfish and seafood was almost everyday our diet.

Laurent and Christine decided to get married on the beach at Esperanza close to Lighthouse Reef.  The ceremony and the reception was on the beach, with the traditional dancing in the Restaurant.

On the Sunday we went a few kilometers south of their to a place called Top of the World, where we did the couple shoot and a Trash the Dress session in the surf.  In one weekend my photography dreams came true to shoot at the sea and on big dunes.

Here are an album designed layout of the happenings of the wedding.  We all had such fun and recommend to go there if you want something different for your wedding.  PLEASE don’t forget me as the photographer then?   LOL

On Saturday 31 March 2012 we had two weddings that we did.  Francois was covering this wedding as this was a morning wedding and I did the evening wedding.

The wedding ceremony was at St Marco Hall in Polokwane, and the reception was held at South Gate Country Lodge just outside of town.  Francois did the couple shoot at the railway lines in Ladanna.

Here are a few of their photos in Album design style.

Naeem and Tasneem is one of the fun couples I had the privilege of working with where taking photos was such a breeze.  I was not involved with the engagement session they had as I was busy with another function, but from the minute I met both, I knew we are going to have fun.

We decided to go to Meropa Casino to do the couple shoot before Naeem had to go to Mosque for the wedding ceremony.  The celebrations was held at the Nirvana Civic Hall and once again I was so overwhelmed by the hospitality of all.  This was the second time I was involved with a Muslim wedding, and we as a team enjoyed it a lot.

Here are the Album style design of their photos.  I hope that you will enjoy them

I have been taking photos of Loudine long before she met Eben.  Every time that I took photos of her we got stunning shots with her as she is so relaxed and photogenic.  When I was approached to do the wedding photos I felt honoured as it was a “wish” in a way to be involved with her special day.

I have been doing a lot of weddings recently outside of Polokwane, so in a sense it was special to do this wedding again at the venue where my wedding photography career started off.

Here are an album design of their photos.  I hope you enjoy them?

Karl is a personal friend of mine and when he and Anke decided to get married I was approached to cover the wedding.  Late last year we did an Engagement Session for them to get a feel of how we work, and then already I knew that we will have a special couple in front of the lens.

The weekend of 24 March 2012 we went to the small town of Kaapschehoop close to Nelspruit in Mpumalanga, where the wedding venue was.  The whole town has that vintage look as it dates back to the late 1800′s.  The ceremony and reception was at Silver Mist Country Inn.  Due to this I decided to edit most of the photos at this wedding with a vintage Black & White look to it.

On the Sunday we went to a waterfall closeby, and here we did their Trash the Dress photos.  It was so dark at the bottom of the falls that we had to shoot a lot of photos without flash as we misjudged the light at 16h00.  Although it was dark it gave us a very different feel to most of our work and I am very happy with the results.

I decided to showcase these photos a little different than normal by designing an album as showcase.  Here are the photos and I hope that you enjoy them as much as we did taking them.

A few years ago I met Bernadine when she was a bridesmaid at at a wedding I did.  Later on we did a few shoots and WOW was all I could say after those sessions.

Now it was time to capture her wedding with Willem, and what a pleasure it was.  Another small wedding function and I like this because everything is so personal.  We had lots of time to do the couple shoot, and on this farm it is not very difficult to get some nice spots.

Here are a few photos that is telling the story of the day.  I hope that you like them?

After designing and receiving the album of this lovely couple that got married in October 2011, I knew that I had to share this album with you.

As part of the Bulls marketing shoot we did on Monday 31st January, I also did a quick shoot with Katryn Barwise the 2012 Miss Limpopo.  She wanted a few photos that she can use as official photos and here are 2 photos just to share with you.

Just after Katryn Barwise was elected as Miss Limpopo 2012 , she approached me and asked that I must be her official photographer during her reign.  What an honour and we gladly accepted.  A few days ago I got the call from her that we must do a studio shoot for the marketing of the Bulls vs Cheetahs game that will be played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday 11 February 2012.

On Monday morning the 30th January I had the whole studio full of people, and in the shoot was none other than Katryn as Miss Limpopo as well as the Polokwane Mayor Freddy Greaver.  I have done a few shoots with the mayor and I must say he looked like a flanker ready to play when he had his Bull shirt on.  A very photogenic and relaxed person in front of the lens.  Once again thank you Mr Greaver for the opportunity to work with you again.

Here are a few of the shoot and we now wait and see what the newspaper will use.
